I highly recommend this app to any writer needing a portable and functional way to record and edit their thoughts.Well every time you open it you get a big WARNING about saving your data within the last 3 days and it keeps popping up when you click it off this is annoying, also it keeps asking if you want to save your documents in the last seconds, I thought they fixed this but it's back again since the update a few days ago why don't you leave well enough alone quit updating it because it's always screwed up after you do it I'm tired of this app about ready to uninstall and find a different one!!!I was looking for an app to write and export txt files.

2. It provides full word-processing functionality that "simple text editors" don't have, functionality that's hard to find: Find/Replace, ±Zoom, File Stats, Fonts, Formating, Printing, and Save As Text or HTML to preserve formatting.Text Editor is perfect for my needs.

3. Every file has to be saved as a new file then renamed? or am I missing something?So far, so good - and I tried 12+ text editors.

4. I'd give 5 stars, if not for saving issues: if saving my 720k file to int storage, the app also closes the file, and saving anything to my MS 1Drive gives an error w report option (which doesn't work).

5. EDIT: There are so many good text editors available through a one-off purchase, which receive regular updates, that buying yours with none would seem foolish.

1. Fix Text Editor Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Text Editor: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Text Editor App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Text Editor" » Open Text Editor » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Text Editor » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Text Editor app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Text Editor servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Text Editor" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Text Editor app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Text Editor might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Text Editor. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Text Editor then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Text Editor not working

2. Fix Text Editor Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Text Editor be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Text Editor not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Text Editor may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
