Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Dining Sidekick Issues
1. Fix Dining Sidekick Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart Dining Sidekick: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the Dining Sidekick App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Dining Sidekick" » Open Dining Sidekick » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Dining Sidekick » click "UPDATE".
- Clear Dining Sidekick app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Dining Sidekick servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dining Sidekick" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check Dining Sidekick app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Dining Sidekick might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall Dining Sidekick. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Dining Sidekick then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Dining Sidekick not working
2. Fix Dining Sidekick Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Dining Sidekick be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Dining Sidekick not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Dining Sidekick may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
