1. -_-Local news no longer works and since it is only reason I subscribed I will deleting and cancelling.The app was fine, however over the last couple of weeks, when we need information the most due to the pandemic, the app keeps blocking me.

10. I'm cancelling.I love the articles from Sun Sentinel, but I cannot access them when they are posted in Facebook.

11. Customer Service solution was to read it on a web browser - doesn't solve the issue with the app!This app is pretty awful.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sun Sentinel Issues

1. Fix Sun Sentinel Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Sun Sentinel: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sun Sentinel App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sun Sentinel" » Open Sun Sentinel » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sun Sentinel » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Sun Sentinel app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sun Sentinel servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Sun Sentinel" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sun Sentinel app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sun Sentinel might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Sun Sentinel. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Sun Sentinel then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sun Sentinel not working


2. Fix Sun Sentinel Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sun Sentinel be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sun Sentinel not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sun Sentinel may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
