1. It keeps saying things like "there is a problem, cannot connect to stream until youtube is finished loading" even if it's already loaded?? It's not as good as it once was, I hope this can be changed soon, but for now I can't deal with it anymore.I've been using this app for years, and it was good for a while, but I got an LG Stylo5 and not it's not a screen recorder, but it tries to scan for devices.

2. I go to preferences, trying to find how to screen record, finding absolutely nothing.

3. I use to have this app, and it was great..now it's AWFUL.This is not a screen recording App.. nor a video editing app.

4. I've been trying to stream but for some reason, I can't?? There's no problem when it comes to recording regular videos.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix DU Recorder Issues

1. Fix DU Recorder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart DU Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the DU Recorder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "DU Recorder" » Open DU Recorder - Screen Recorder, Video Recorder » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for DU Recorder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear DU Recorder - Screen Recorder, Video Recorder app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from DU Recorder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "DU Recorder - Screen Recorder, Video Recorder" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check DU Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, DU Recorder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall DU Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall DU Recorder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing DU Recorder not working


2. Fix DU Recorder Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make DU Recorder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to DU Recorder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, DU Recorder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
