1. Sure, everyone has at least one email address, and Delta Chat allows you to send messages to any email address, whether or not they're using Delta Chat; but then it's just an email, and no one (my age or younger) actually uses email for comms these daysGreat replacement of WhatsApp by using a decentralized technology backbone that is already in place: email.
2. For example: if someone sends multiple messages after each other within a short amount of time (just like any IM some people unfortunately sends a message for every line ..) for some reason at the receivers end the messages do not appear in the correct order.
3. It's also cool that if the other person doesn't have Delta Chat he/she wil still receive the message in there emails inbox.
4. Hopefully the developers will add these features. This is a very cool idea, and the devs are doing an incredible job of implementing that idea; unfortunately, Delta Chat suffers from the same problem that plagues any new chat platform: user buy-in.
5. You can use it on multiple devices and on PC too! It is easy to reinstall it on new devices and recover the encryption. One of the most helpful features of Telegram is the ability to edit a sent message to correct typos.
6. Could you please consider including this feature? It is really helpful and saves time, instead of the usual, copy, correct and resend. The ultimate instant messaging platform that ensures privacy AND security.
7. I honestly think something like this is the future of messaging unless the highly unlikely outcome of matrix replacing email happensGreat idea and constantly developed.
8. The idea of using the existing and widely deployed e-mail infrastructure for chat is both elegant and simple.
9. When others understand that they will be using their own email and not some messaging app that tracks everything they do, they are more likely to give it a try.
10. The messages between my phone and my wife's seem to experience a hefty (in terms of instant messaging anyway) delay.
11. This could be a very good alternative to whatsapp/signal/telegram but in my personal opinion it's better because it uses your emails mail servers instead of a centralized server like the other mentioned apps.
