1. A re-implementation of Fractview called "Fract" is also available on the play store. * View fractals like the mandelbrot set, julia set, burning ship, newton fractals, lyapunov fractals, phoenix fractals, pendulum simulation and complex functions. * Pick from a large selection of (re-) combinable samples. * Modify colors using an intuitive drag-and-drop palette editor (support for two dimensional palettes, using LAB color space). * Use 3D-mode, branching also for eg the newton fractal. * Uses Renderscript to generate images on GPU (speed-up of at least factor 10 compared to FractViewLite).
2. The app itself contains presets for newton fractals, orbit traps, lyapunov fractals, even pendulum simulations ( ), or simply view complex functions using the color wheel coloration.
3. Viewer for fractals like the mandelbrot set, lyapunov fractals and complex functions supporting intuitive pinch-to-zoom with many features.
4. The app supports very intuitive gestures like pinch-to-zoom (moving, rotation, scaling and even shearing using up to 3 fingers).
5. There is an intuitive editor for (2-dimensional) color palettes using the LAB-Colorspace.
6. All these presets contain parameters that allow you so easily enter custom functions.
7. There is support for all kinds of functions (from exp to log, from sin to atanh) and even derivates are generated automatically.
8. The philosophy is similar to Google Maps - moving a finger moves the point below it accordingly.
9. Furthermore, you can save the fractal description and send it to others to share your work.
10. Images can be saved (as pngs) and shared.
11. The app furthermore includes an intuitive bookmark system with the possibility to export your saved favorites.
1. This is exactly what I have been searching for! Thank you big time.Truly the most involved and worthwhile app for exploring the endless void of fractals and chaos in motion..love this app and its endless realm of chaos eternal..loved it so much i think i ran into the back of my own head! beautiful and super functional with endless exploration at a decimal point..thanks for doin it right! No mirrors can squeeze the universal juice through the filters of time with better precision? 528hzI love the versatility with which you can change parameters and control the fractal that is being rendered.
2. Phone is Galaxy S9+ Edit: there was no option to update, but i reinstalled and it works fine now. This is by far the greatest mobile fractal app ever created as far as I am concered!! Most apps will not let you export images at large resolutions which is what I need most! Also you can copy the codes that are generated and export the fractals even larger on a computer.
3. But personally I think the default color setting should be the regular black on the inside, because the extra rainbow colors for the default can be somewhat confusing on whether you are just looking at extra colors on the inside of the mandelbrot, rather than the mandelbrot as a "raw" image.
4. But the rainbow color could also stray you from the actual object itself so you might end up looking at the extra colors in the mandelbrot's black space.
5. giving the capability of increasing the Precision would allow for the very deep zoom levels that render some of the more spectacular fractal images. The only thing I could say is that the UI could use some work, especially to fit the image to screen; minor things.
6. Considering, that the black space is the actual math equation and not the lines, but the mandelbrot 'lines' would be more developed with it just being straight black with the outer line.
7. Fiddling with presets and parameters is infinite fun! Throws a message "size not changed" when trying to set image size over 2048x2048, tutorial says resolutions like 4000x3000 shouldn't be a problem.
8. If you are new to mandelbrot/ this app I would suggest going to [UI settings] right away because when you zoom you can rotate the object, and personally id rather keep it in place until I find a nice image.
9. Maybe this app can make 3D fractals enough to explore those "depths" on the next update.Fast and with good examples to start exploring, and also good options to export your creations.
10. But the extra colors can throw you off from what you're truly looking at on a real mandelbrot.
11. And this is the longest review I've ever given for a mandelbrot app, because I see the potential in this one; but again, the settings can be somewhat overwhelming to someone who doesn't understand all the mathematics behind it, or something.
