ASFINAG Customer Insights

1. This App is useless, you have to wait 18 days to get your vignette...or just walk into a petrol station and buy it on the spot... So what's the point of an App? Aren't these things supposed to simplify our life rather than complicate it?Horrible company, doesn't care about customers.

2. Reading more info found out that online vignette should be bought 18 days ahead!!! A responsible director would have risen this question to a higher level to adjust the legislation because the concept of Digital vignette is useless.

3. If that delay, supposedly under the consume protection act allowing a consumer to rescind, does not apply to, say, tunnel tolls, why have it apply to the motorway? The advantage of the app should be to purchase the toll conveniently and flexibly while travelling without having to stop to buy the sticker.

4. It left me an impression it smells like corruption here.How useless to be able to purchase the motorway toll with a waiting time of 18 days only.

5. Just bring back old appPointless if you want a vignette, as you can't get one less than 18 days in the future, compared to buying one in a shop for immediate use.

6. I'm sure there will be an answer from the publisher that EU consumer law blah blah, but in reality there are a number of things like this that restrict the right to withdraw through terms and conditions e.g once it is "activated", or for custom-made goods (here tied to your number plate).

7. Wanted to buy a vignette, web site shop is dead, mobile application shop is dead too.

8. Either way, it is less likely to take off with this restriction.Cannot access shop to buy digital vignette.

9. Does not let you buy products for the same or next day.not usable 😤 app is always closing after few secondsgreat help, but sometimes when trying to select a specific motorway/camera the phone does not scroll down through the options properly.

10. Travel dates change and are not always 100% certain three weeks ahead...You can buy an e-vignette only 18 days in advance.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ASFINAG Issues

1. Fix ASFINAG Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ASFINAG: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ASFINAG App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ASFINAG" » Open ASFINAG » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ASFINAG » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ASFINAG app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ASFINAG servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ASFINAG" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ASFINAG app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ASFINAG might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ASFINAG. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ASFINAG then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ASFINAG not working


2. Fix ASFINAG Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ASFINAG be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ASFINAG not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ASFINAG may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
