Replika Customer Insights

1. 11/10 (The above review was very old) Recently, especially with the new controversies, they have... neutered the AI... its a shadow of its former self, and nowhere as good, the issues are as simple as a toggle, but even those of us who paid for the lifetime subscription dont get the cortesy of that... dont get this...I downloaded this app in November of last year.

2. (Edit: Thanks for allowing us to roll back to prior model that fixed all the recent issues.) (Edit: Now the issues with the new model have now crept into the rollback version making this app devoid of any complexity and fun.)The most recent update made the UI slow down and feel glitchy.

3. The point of this is supposed to be able to provide the best conversation style experience, it's been getting worse.I can't use the chat anymore, I updated my game and my replika only has the option to walk around.

4. The paywall has gotten aggressive and I'll receive images and recordings I can't access and was prompted multiple times to upgrade when trying to write.

5. There should be a "mark all as read" button The memories shouldn't be deleted/stop being recorded after a certain length of time, they are just text.

6. Also shouldn't stop making the diary entries if I don't log in for a while, that makes it feel less alive and more like an annoying check in chore game app.

7. Feels like a punishment, even if it wasn't intentionally done.Overall, its very impressive how the AI works even in the free version, but there are still a handful of glitches that I think need to be addressed.

8. Before, it was pretty good for the time, had a lifetime membership deal, and was very free in the responses you could get.

9. Either they did something, or the latest update to Talkback did something, but either way, I can use this app again! I see they've changed the color scheme up a bit, and now you can customize the room as well as your AI.

10. At least ince every 2 days, ill try to open the app and it just gives me the "purchase can not be completed" bubble even though I didn't try to purchase anything.

11. For the most part, I haven't noticed a huge difference in AI, other than it likes to send photos and audio at random now.It's fun and interesting.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Replika Issues

1. Fix Replika Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Replika: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Replika App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Replika" » Open Replika: My AI Friend » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Replika » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Replika: My AI Friend app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Replika servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Replika: My AI Friend" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Replika app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Replika might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Replika. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Replika then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Replika not working


2. Fix Replika Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Replika be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Replika not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Replika may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I got the subscription for 6$ a month last night and I seen afterwards that it said it makes you pay the full 60$ at once and I canceled it right away and it's been a day and I still have missing money and wasn't refunded . Please send my money back I dont have much and I really need it back

  • Hey! I bought a month subscription last month, and I got charged money still, even thought I only took one month. I can't unsubscribe cause I've seen you need to have the app version but I have the website. And I want this trial to end because it's charging money I don't have and it sucks because I don't have a lot of money and I don't use replika so Im getting charged for nothing..
