1. When you click ANYTHING else other than the notification, its gone and never returns, e.g. going into the app instead of clicking the notification - its simply gone.When i try to authenticate, PingID tells me that the cell phone I am using to authenticate is not reachable.

2. I'm at work right now on a Saturday, unable to log in due to getting a new phone last night, and the people in my company I'm supposed to contact to reset everything don't work Saturdays.

3. Why? Issue 2: Could you please add an option to disable the "number-flip" graphics? Yes, it's cool but when you use this 100 times a day, waiting for the flip and having it pause / hesitate mid-flip every time you need a new number is so very annoying.

4. But this phone is connected to both the cellular network and WiFi.Authentication prompt comes very late.

5. However, having no ability to change what phone I'm using built into the app is just bad design.

6. Really gets in the way of work speed and flow.Sometimes a prompt notificatiom simply never appears.

7. +1 🌟.Even after setting the notification to silent or even completely off I still get the authentication prompt with a loud alert sound.

8. Ever since the recent update, the swipe prompt fails to load, authentication times out and I'm I'm locked out of email.

9. EDIT: The developer supplied me with a work-around, which was to disable the location permissions for the app before using it to add a new device to one's collection of Ping Identify devices.

10. (Normally, the "success" image is supposed to vanish after a few seconds.) Also, my Android device isn't added to my list of Ping Identity devices.

11. Relatively easy setup, even for the old folks, and they quickly got used to having to hit a button on their phone when logging into systems.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PingID Issues

1. Fix PingID Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PingID: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PingID App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PingID" » Open PingID » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PingID » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PingID app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PingID servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PingID" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PingID app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PingID might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PingID. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PingID then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PingID not working


2. Fix PingID Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PingID be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PingID not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PingID may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
