My Utmost Customer Insights

1. I uninstall and reinstall the first time and it worked for a few days (at the expense of losing years worth of notes and bookmarks) Now it's just crashing every time I try to open it.

2. Now that it's working I would recommend.Really love this app, but with recent update it now will not open and continues to crash.

3. It opens to a blank white page instead of the current day's devotional.

4. This defeats the purpose of a dark theme being easier on your eyes, especially early in the morning.I'm on a Pixel running Android 9.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Utmost Issues

1. Fix My Utmost Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Utmost: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Utmost App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Utmost" » Open My Utmost for His Highest » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Utmost » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Utmost for His Highest app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Utmost servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Utmost for His Highest" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Utmost app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Utmost might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Utmost. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Utmost then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Utmost not working


2. Fix My Utmost Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Utmost be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Utmost not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Utmost may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
