1. I'm done.Absolutely atrocious app! my teacher wanted the class to use this so you can read and stuff but when you try and read a book it doesn't show any text! and I was like "oh I think there is an update for it maybe that's why it wont work" but then I checked and it said the last update was in 2016!! Seven years without an update!!! Plus the books are boring, never using this app again.I love the app, and the options of zoomed letters an black pages are great! The only problem is that it does not have most books that you might be looking for specifically, you kind of just have to find one that you like that is already on there.

2. Please fix this and I will give a better rating.Books never download then when i read a book the screen goes black with no text when i switch pages then sometimes it brings me back to the first page too and.

3. That's why I'm dropping 2 stars.When you try to download books, it doesn't let you and when you finally get it to download and finally get to read it the screen and book is just plain white blank everytime I try to read the book.

4. I miss when the app worked.I've had this app for about 3 years now and, for the most part, it's been pretty good but around 2 months ago it stopped working and wont let me download the books anymore.

5. Frustrating!Was awesome to be able to read a large variety of books online for free, until the app stopped working.

1. Fix Open eBooks Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Open eBooks: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Open eBooks App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Open eBooks" » Open Open eBooks » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Open eBooks » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Open eBooks app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Open eBooks servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Open eBooks" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Open eBooks app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Open eBooks might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Open eBooks. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Open eBooks then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Open eBooks not working

2. Fix Open eBooks Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Open eBooks be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Open eBooks not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Open eBooks may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
