My Talking Pet Customer Insights

1. I wish it were like most other apps where we get to use the basic app for free but then pay for bonus features like extra accessories, using filters, more voice options, etc.

2. It looks pretty real, and you can adjust the pitch and speed of your voice so that it sounds like a little animal talking (or you can slow it down and make the voice deeper if you want, like say for a big dog).

3. I would be willing to pay a one time only fee for the upgraded version, but not worth it to pay a weekly, monthly, or yearly fee! Too bad! Was going to recommend this to others until I found out about the subscription.

4. I'm just using the free version right now and like itMakes great videos but never said anything about only being able to make 5 videos.

5. Just gives me a pop-up telling me to get a paid subscription that comes with a free trial.

6. Uninstalling.This is a really fun app and is easy to use and create videos of your pet "talking"...you just upload a photo and record what you want the pet to say.

7. But when you start taking away basic features (like limiting the ability to share videos to 2/month) that I had before, that's not okay.

8. I can understand monthly restrictions, but only 2 free saves/shares ever and then you have to pay $25/year for it ....and that wasn't even mentioned at download at all.

9. of 2018, and now they want monthly subscription of $2.99 to have the functionality I had before they went to this subscription format.

10. Plus to go from free to a paid subscription.

11. I'm at a loss to understand why they differ so markedly.It's a great app! Works well! I'm giving it 3 stars because we can only save 5 videos, then you have to upgrade to pro.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Talking Pet Issues

1. Fix My Talking Pet Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Talking Pet: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Talking Pet App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Talking Pet" » Open My Talking Pet » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Talking Pet » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Talking Pet app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Talking Pet servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Talking Pet" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Talking Pet app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Talking Pet might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Talking Pet. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Talking Pet then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Talking Pet not working


2. Fix My Talking Pet Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Talking Pet be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Talking Pet not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Talking Pet may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I've paid twice for the app. I've had the app for a year and a half. All of a sudden, it's still showing my pictures but keeps telling me I have to upgrade which I already have paid twice. It was working fine up till about 2 months ago. I've sent them two emails and have heard nothing back. I love the app but at this point I just want my money back

  • My 10 year old daughter appeared bought this app in August. I noticed I’ve been getting charged ever since and I know she hasn’t used the app since. The account email address it’s under is riannaadkins6@redacted. I would like for you to refund all monies taken in a swiftly manner. And cancel her subscription. The card being charged is a Mastercard ending in 8776 name Jonathan Adkins. Please feel free to call me at 681-668-1880. I would like all charges refunded. Thank you

  • I paid for a subscription and my credit card was charged but the app says I have used up all my free trials and will not let me save/send my videos. I wanted to do a fun one for Father's Day however I don't have access and there is no customer service number to call to straighten it out.

  • I wasn't aware you only get 5 Videos in total. I just paid $30.00 for a one years subscription, is this really true? I have made a couple of videos and saved the and wanted to go to my saved video file but don't know how to access them. My screen is now frozen not allowing me to rerecord , as the area to do so is not allowing me to continue. I certainly not willing to pay this kind of money and all i got out of the deal was 3 videos and two saved. Please make me understand what i am suppose to do to fix this. If this is the case that you charge this kind of money for a whole year subscription, this is truly terrible way to do business. I would appreciate your response ASAP. Thank you

  • There is a free 1 year trial available for subscribers but I do not want to be charged and NO refunds are guaranteed. Do I qualify for the free subscription? Your info said to check first..... thx in advance
