1. It is a ‘culture fair’ multiple choice IQ test, that measures your fluid intelligence (Gf) – your reasoning and problem solving ability.
2. The evaluation of the test is based on a study of a large sample of anonymous results of users of the app in different age categories and is continuously refined.
3. This test is motivated by Raven's progressive matrices that got their name according to their creator John C.
4. This test tests the understanding of the complexity of patterns, the ability to store and retrieve information.
5. The result of the test is determined by the number of correct answers and the age of the respondent.
6. Raven, who developed them in 1936 as a non-verbal test of abstract thinking.
7. The test measures only a subset of intellectual abilities.
8. Based on this, valid conclusions can not be drawn about the overall intelligence of the person, the results are approximate.
9. The test consists of 54 questions which in turn are gradually more complex.
10. Fluid intelligence is a core component of (g) – your general intelligence.
11. However, the final score is not linearly related to the number of correct answers.
1. As I reviewed the correct answers, a few of them seemed too random in pattern, but a couple of them had me blushing, because the answer was so obvious! Altogether a fun challenge that took less than 10-minutes to complete.I took it the first time and scored 142, which is about what I score on similar tests, but I went back to look at my answers again and some of the answers it wants don't make any sense to me no matter how long I try too understand them.
2. Also sometimes i think more than one answer is correct, i took a lot of screenshots and debated with my friends and it seems that my answer, seemingly wrong, is a logical solution as well.. would've liked more if it had algebric progression, or trivia questions, or grammatial errors you could fix.. still one of the most convenient that does not flatter you with an IQ of 210I am blind, so I use a screen reader, but this application is not suitable.
3. So it is probably very unrealistic the second time.I got 138 in my first casual attempt and 142 when I took the test seriously.
4. However, I would prefer the questions changed every time I take the test. You have 40 minutes to answer 54 questions.
5. For next time, I will have better results because now I know what type of logic to expect.I scored avaragely, eventhough I am pretty sure I could score way higher if it was a better timing.
6. Unfortunalty I took it a little late in the day and missed 2 questions more than I normally should have.. Would recommend taking it at you peak time of day.
7. It would be better if the app had a feature whereby you can see an explanation of the problem when going through the scores, and an % score of the results.Waste of time.
8. I also pretty much had it memorized after the first time, so I went back and got one question wrong and scored a 155.
9. For the last 2 questions, I didn't have time to finish.
10. There are no questions like a normal IQ test.
11. I'll have to try it again while not half awake at 3 a.m. haha I've taken another test last year when my result was 120.
