1. How absurd that a TV requires the use of a mobile app for changing settings like network connection... and that app doesn't even work!!! Vizio sucks.The app is super convenient if you have kids and lose your remote all the time like me.

2. Other than that, it's a great app and is super helpful when the remote is lost or I want to be lazy, lol.Nice when it works.

3. The only issue I have is sometimes when my phone has been away from the TV for a few hours it has trouble finding and connecting to it and then it will find and connect randomly later on.

4. Which needless to say is super frustrating.Super helpful when I can't find the remote.

5. Meanwhile another third party remote app pairs just fine (but lacks other essential setting related features).

6. Constantly trying to reconfigure just to enter menu area because remote doesn't have a menu button.

7. App had consistent connection issues with my vizio soundbar since I've had it, but I was always eventually able to connect to it.

8. It makes it so much easier to find built in apps on the TV too, you can search them instead of having to scroll through all the options.I see the other reviews and feel like I got lucky.

9. And I have NO idea how to set up WiFi on the TV without a remote (if I could do that, I wouldn't need a rempte).

10. The reason for only 4 stars is if I leave the app and come back, it shows the TV as not found, and I have to close and restart the app for it to find it again, minor annoyance.

1. Fix VIZIO | WatchFree+ Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart VIZIO | WatchFree+: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the VIZIO | WatchFree+ App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "VIZIO | WatchFree+" » Open VIZIO | WatchFree+ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for VIZIO | WatchFree+ » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear VIZIO | WatchFree+ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from VIZIO | WatchFree+ servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "VIZIO | WatchFree+" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check VIZIO | WatchFree+ app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, VIZIO | WatchFree+ might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall VIZIO | WatchFree+. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall VIZIO | WatchFree+ then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing VIZIO | WatchFree+ not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make VIZIO | WatchFree+ be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to VIZIO | WatchFree+ not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, VIZIO | WatchFree+ may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
