1. Was able to catch the bus without having to cross the street because the app told me that the bus was headed back into my direction from the same side of the road; worked out perfectly.My biggest issue is that I often can't select bus stops.

2. Lots of bugs including inaccurate bus locations, constantly saying "no predictions" for the arrival time, horrible loading.

7. I particularly like the X minute warning before a bus arrival.1. I cannot see WHERE the bus is headed i.e. From the app, I do not understand what the NEXT bus stop would be.

8. When tracking a bus time the app will not always show you an arrival time and does not track the bus.

9. some stops seem to have terrible accuracy, but I think that's the fault of the data the app receives and not the app itself.The bus prediction are mot consistent.

10. Although many times there aren't any predictions available, the app still shows you exactly where the bus is on route.

11. Maps and routes aren't always up to date, and buses that ARE in service are often not shown in the app (shown as out of service).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TransLoc Rider Issues

1. Fix TransLoc Rider Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TransLoc Rider: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TransLoc Rider App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TransLoc Rider" » Open TransLoc Rider » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TransLoc Rider » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TransLoc Rider app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TransLoc Rider servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TransLoc Rider" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TransLoc Rider app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TransLoc Rider might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TransLoc Rider. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TransLoc Rider then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TransLoc Rider not working


2. Fix TransLoc Rider Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TransLoc Rider be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TransLoc Rider not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TransLoc Rider may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
