It actually works when I touch the icon, it doesn't crash repeatedly, it picks up where I left off, and BEST, every time I want to read, I DON'T have to go past a bunch of screens of "social" stuff, reading plans, commentaries, verse of the day or other endless "nice" stuff just to get to the actual Bible and start reading.

2. The option of a black screen with white font makes the text very easy to see in low light situations which is basically anytime I used my old printed Bible which I could no longer seeThe NIV app has very clear white lettering which allows me to see the verse clearly, and read verse easier.

But one thing that is super annoying is the verse of the day shows up and even though there is room for all the text of that verse in the notification, the last word is omitted creating the need to open the app all the way(and several clicks to close it again) just to see that only the last word was missing from the whole verse being displayed in the notification.

4. Being able to listen to the Bible being read is a definite plus.I wanted an "e-bible" that was inherently easy to use, user friendly, and intuitive controls.

5. The difficulty I'm experiencing is to find the correct icon to click on at the bottom of the script to make that transition.Stunning. This is perfect for newcomers like myself! I never expected to enjoy reading the Bible this much.
