Recolor Customer Insights

1. My Biggest complaint is, Nothing saves to the app, so if you switch phones/devices, you lose EVERYTHING! All your self-made colors & pics! The app is still far better than others thoughIn general the app is good, but every now and then I'll spend a bunch of time doing something special and when I open a picture to continue coloring it everything I have done on it so far has been erased and I have to start all over to reproduce my work.

2. Thanks!EDIT: I have subscribed to this app for many years & Nothing Ever Updates to more recent technology! I used to enjoy this app a lot, and now I barely use it! The crayons should have a select size for the lines, instead of having to super zoom in & can't see what the heck you're doing to get the right size line.

3. Super expensive in order to color anything you want, in the "free" version theres less than 10 options to color & you cannot use even close to the whole library of colors.

4. Pretty often it tells me that I have to subscribe for certain colors/effects etc and I was already subscribed.Game is freezing when I continue coloring specific pictures, that is the biggest problem.

5. There are daily options you can color if you watch an ad, but only a couple a day, and definitely not any of the really good ones, heck, not even any basic or decent ones.

6. Spent tons of time on the last one outlining, shading, making patterns and doing more complicated things with the crayon set and it all disappeared in a second.

7. I took a break and now I'm back (on my new Pixel 7 Pro) and it's very nearly impossible to use! Anytime I try to select an image to color, the app freezes.

8. :(Should be better for the price they charge😬 The app glitches every other time you open it.

9. I think it would be great if we could change stuff like the hue, value, and saturation of the pcture.This app at one time was so great.

10. About every 3rd picture you try to publish will get stuck in a never ending loading loop and you'll have to restart the app with your finger crossed that all your progress saved.

11. The art is nice, and the yearly subscription is at a somewhat fair price (not so much the yearly, but that's the case with lots of things).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Recolor Issues

1. Fix Recolor Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Recolor: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Recolor App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Recolor" » Open Recolor - Adult Coloring Book » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Recolor » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Recolor - Adult Coloring Book app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Recolor servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Recolor - Adult Coloring Book" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Recolor app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Recolor might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Recolor. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Recolor then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Recolor not working


2. Fix Recolor Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Recolor be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Recolor not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Recolor may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

    I have only seen this offer last night and today so I am trying to purchase this awesome deal but I keep getting a message saying I am not Eligible for this offer ..I am asking why I am not eligible and also if this offer has expired why is the offer only showing now ?

  • I have three times consulted your people about why my app that I just purchased less than three weeks ago will not let me color any of the pictures they try to send me to somebody that’s going to charge me a dollar when I have already paid for your app! I am furious! I would like someone to contact me immediately I have tried to be part of this group for two years and I have continued to have nothing but problems about to blast you guys on Facebook I know it sounds like a threat but it’s not it’s a promise I am one pissed off old lady who has paid me you guys my money and I want my results.

  • I have contacted you more then 10 times to get help on my account. All I get is someone asking for more information I give the information about my account that will not let me sign back in after getting a new phone. I paid for it and have had my account for over two years now. Haven’t got to use it for months. I have two emails you have always sent me a reminder about time to renew my account to Ass_Head3@redacted

    But I pay with the name is Loralynn Dale. I can find my account but it doesn’t matter. It’s making way past grumpy trying to get help to get it back

  • Hi I have already contacted Recolor through the app and I am not happy with our communications I clearly wasn’t understood it one piece so I’m just gonna start from the beginning here and see if you can help me. December 2016 I bought my first subscription to your app I use it for a year and my subscription ran out and I didn’t resubscribe and then about three months ago maybe a little more high for another yearly subscription. I love your app I am really enjoying it. My issue is this. In 2016 I had imported several pictures I would say 8 to 10 of them. When I resubscribed three months ago those imports never showed up in my ALL or IMPORTED sections of app. They ONLY show up in PUBLISHED.
    Recolor support told me to go into my iCloud and to shut it off and then go into the Recolor app and shut it off and then turn everything back on and hopefully that would fix the problem and it didn’t so then they blamed Apple and said it’s an apple issue. I called them and I spent about 45 minutes with Apple on the phone we went to every setting every cloud on line every download every file everywhere and the bottom line is it’s not an Apple issue. I never changed devices I am on the same iPad Pro that I was on in December 2016 Thus both Apple and I believe it to be an APP issue. it’s an app issue. And you need to help me figure out how to restore those imports into the ALL and Imported section. I look forward to some Resolve here.   • I’m over the age of 13 I’m 14 but I have been banned because apparently I’m underage it says I can log back on in 2038 which would mean if I was meant to turn 13 then I would be -2 not even born yet can you please reload my account because I love the app but I can’t do anything to fix this

  • When I tried to get the free picture dad comes up it will not let you out of the ad you either have to install it or exited even shut the phone down and you still don't get the picture I've tried repeatedly I don't know why it's doing it it's like a glitch normally I can download the app watch it and get the picture and I have no issue I can exit right out of the app divertisment app that is

    It’s been 2 or 3 days now that my coloring templates doesn’t wanna load :( I turned off my cell, deleted the app and put it back again. Still nothing :( it just keep loading in vain, I can’t see the pics at all.
    I can access the gallery though, but not the templates to be able to color :(
    Can you help ? I have version 5.5.3

  • Good Morning Recolor team,

    As a concerned mother, I was hoping that I could share some light on why I would like for both my children’s accounts to be removed from your site/app. I have already deleted the app from their phones, but when I check my app, they are still on there. Here is the reason why.

    August 2020, both my kids (Whom are 9 years old) saw an ad for this app. I have/still am using it and thought that it was safe for them to use. So, I downloaded the app for both of them, and that’s when everything started going south for my daughter.

    Over these past couple of weeks, my daughter became withdrawn, depressed and even talking about how life would be better if she was not around. Mind you, she is 9 years old, and this behavior was alarming. I sat her down yesterday and asked her what was going on.

    She stated that there were a couple of girls that were giving her a hard time with some of her images, and they were saying things like, why do you keep coloring stupid pictures? They then, would say they love her, and only am trying to help make her a better artist. My daughter told me that it hurt her feelings, and so she thought she could block them, and they wouldn’t write her back. However, they had other accounts, and were commenting on images they had colored that were dark themed and told my daughter. If you don’t unblock us, Satan is going to harm you. Again, she is 9 years old. So, I had to do damage control, tell my daughter that she has a lot of people who love her, and those girls should mean nothing to her. After I deleted her app, they started writing to my son, asking if he knew how to get ahold of her. Like, does she have a phone number, email, or Facebook, where they can contact her. Right away, my son brought me his iPad and showed me his app. When I was reading what they were saying to my son, I noticed that a boy had wrote: “They better not be hurting my GIRLFRIEND. I will kill them, if they are.”

    If you could please remove the following accounts from your app, that would be very helpful. My daughters screen name is @Sophia Ann and her email is lorsophia1@redacted. My sons screen name is RoosterNibs6 and his email is lorkayden2@redacted. I also have screenshots of their accounts if you need those as well. It just won’t let me add them to this message place.
