1. Tapping a notification doesn't take you to the article, the search is worthless (entering multiple words from the headline in the notification doesn't locate the article), and you can't filter stories by date.
2. I love supporting local news, but if this is the best the paper and do on a technical level in the digital Era then the paper is doomed. Now the mobile app wants money, but it's not really worth paying for.
3. I would prefer the apple more like the browser version. No access to e book version, paid subscription but always have to log in and cannot open downloaded files.
4. This is why I want the print copy that never gets delivered. It's annoying how headlines are repeated in the new/local news section.
5. I do not like this and will stop my subscription if it does not change back... also the "settings" has no settings, just contact info.. how about options of reading formats??A totally amateur app, up to maybe 1995 standards.
6. Sections difficult to navigate; often when you open a section the same article repeats numerous times, has frequent typos or is badly written.
7. However the majority of time when I click on a notification, it doesn't take me to the appropriate article and I have to go searching for it.
8. As an app for an organization that purports to convey information this fails to do a good job on almost every level. It used to be in newspaper format which is what I liked.
9. ah, the good old days with Dean Lesher.Terrible, how did they win a pulitzer? Its called the EAST BAY times.
10. The only presentation control is text size, with the smallest setting still resulting in huge text on my tablet.
11. Regular online version has same content and is free (so far).after two emails, I still have not heard back from the Times.
