1. This app has made using the desk top app a NIGHTMARE! DLTR: was of time and doesn't work, just tried to connect over and over.This update contains more organization in terms of laying out widgets (features like messages and contacts) that can be used simultaneously unlike version 3.3. It was a few days after that I am getting problems accessing my phone messages on my computer.

2. Bluetooth also doesn't allow for much distance between communicating devices.. I may use the app for text messaging.Hopeless app! This app started behaving like a virus , I had to shut my phone off twice to get control back.

3. If you follow directions and scan code it works perfectly and instantly! MAKE SURE TO ALLOW ACCESS!! I see lots complaints but everything works great for me! Better than last version and I absolutely loved that one too!!4 stars because it's a typical Dell product but otherwise it's great.

4. It wouldn't minimize it kept grabbing focus and wouldn't allow any other activity on the phone.

5. Any phone released in the last year or two is overly capable in this area.When the desk top app did not require an app on your phone and just connected I never had an issue.

6. Ever since it has updated and forced me to use this it won't connect to my computer after I have tried everything, restard both pc and phone.

7. To get it running again, I need to open the companion app on my phone and ask it to reconnect.

8. The app uses Bluetooth for communication between the android phone and the windows 11 PC.

9. If you're having issues, it's your phone's old age and outdated Bluetooth chip.

10. Bluetooth doesn't have enough speed to support quality voice audio and transfer of large files.

11. It was really useful.It slows down my computer and my phone to the point of interfering with my productivity.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Dell Issues

1. Fix Dell Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Dell: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Dell App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Dell" » Open Dell Mobile Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Dell » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Dell Mobile Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Dell servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dell Mobile Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Dell app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Dell might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Dell. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Dell then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Dell not working


2. Fix Dell Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Dell be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Dell not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Dell may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
