Curb Customer Insights

1. It takes a long time to load at times to search for the nearest driver, doesn't send you the receipt for the pay confirmation, which causes conflict with the driver and even shows that you're at a completely different location from where you're actually at.

2. Driver says sometimes the ride just disappears off their device.The app suffers from a bug that occasionally makes it look like there are no taxis available (regardless of what city you are in) and the app claims not to be able to recognize any address.

3. We went 4 blocks! So I get out, start walking back to catch the one at the pickup spot because it looks like the Curb app is still trying to book a cab, even though I pressed cancel twice.

4. Driver dropped us off at a central location in Chicago and the App could not process the payment.

5. Over 5 attempts made to call a cab and every time, the driver changed.

6. I've found it in the past but usually after pressing every annoying button on the the screen multiple timesThe app is a great alternative to Uber, but there are two issues with the app that should be addressed.

7. Works fine for pair and pay but if you're trying to call a taxi (like lyft / uber), it's awful.

8. It pairs me with a driver, and within a minute it goes away and says that there is no ride.

9. Similarly, the other way around is true.AVOID THE APP IN NYC! Curb lies about its "upfront" pricing.

10. If you're going to market yourself with UPFRONT PRICING, include the fees in the quote! I live in Midtown, and there is no shortage of cabs.

11. App doesn't update the cabs location, just shows you its location when they excepted the pickup.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Curb Issues

1. Fix Curb Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Curb: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Curb App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Curb" » Open Curb - Request & Pay for Taxis » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Curb » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Curb - Request & Pay for Taxis app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Curb servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Curb - Request & Pay for Taxis" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Curb app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Curb might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Curb. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Curb then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Curb not working


2. Fix Curb Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Curb be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Curb not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Curb may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
