Pura Customer Insights

1. I have not used the option to turn the scent off when I leave, so I can't give any remarks on if that works or the radius.When I 1st installed the app I was able to create a schedule with my devices.

2. Both of my Puras were great for 6 months and this is just the first in a string of issues (nightlight stopped working on one, the other wouldn't recognize when I had a scent in).

3. I would like to see as much attention put into the app development as in the scent selection.So convenient! I love that you can schedule times for the scents to come on & go off.

4. You also have the option to turn on & off the night light & change colors! I haven't had any issues thus far with the app & it's been very easy to use.

5. So I'm only able to turn on 1 scent instead of scheduling both scents.

6. I LOVE Puras, but not sure if it's worth the trouble.When I first bought the pura, it worked fine.

7. Note: we have a smart home with very well connected wi-fi in all rooms.I really liked my Pura at first, but with the app always being so flaky, it's not worth it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Pura Issues

1. Fix Pura Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Pura: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Pura App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Pura" » Open Pura » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Pura » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Pura app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Pura servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Pura" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Pura app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Pura might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Pura. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Pura then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Pura not working


2. Fix Pura Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Pura be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Pura not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Pura may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
