1. I have tried this multiple times with various searches for different items and it happens every time.I used to love this app.

2. You cannot click either option - the screen just keeps flickering and behind the zero search results message, you see a list of results flashing, but the page never fully loads.

3. The app is glitchy, it's slow and I can't shop and make a purchase without error pages and tons of time passing as I wait for results to load.

4. This app sucks.When I attempt to search in the app, the screen flickers for several minutes and a message pops up that the search found zero results and do I want to cancel or retry.

5. Every time I tried to zoom in closer to an area, it would instead sit and think for a second then zoom all the way back out to the state level.

6. However, I had to make a new account because they said my password was wrong and I've tried resetting it with the link for a few months and it's an endless loop of not being able to fix it.

8. Once on an items page it always shows as available in your store but if you click that it often shows it's not.

9. I know I could call, but after months of patiently waiting for it to be fixed and hoping it would be done, I will rarely shop there moving forward.The latest update has ruined the app.

10. Its more user friendly than the site on a phone, but glitched a lot when I tried to place the second order.

11. Then, when I select the "Pick up" option during my searches, it gives me options that AREN'T available at my selected store.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Petco Issues

1. Fix Petco Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Petco: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Petco App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Petco" » Open Petco: The Pet Parents Partner » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Petco » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Petco: The Pet Parents Partner app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Petco servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Petco: The Pet Parents Partner" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Petco app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Petco might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Petco. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Petco then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Petco not working


2. Fix Petco Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Petco be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Petco not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Petco may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
