1. Gives me notifications that I don't need and doesn't even take me to the post in the notification when I do actually tap one.
2. The verify process & the people that post hate w/out proof/proper reasoning should be looked at.This app sends me a new notification nearly once an hour during the day, and none of them are important.
3. Can't even turn off the notifications, there's just not an option. The app looks nice, and the layout is okay but the constant connection drops saying "no internet access" when I have full access is bogus.
4. I downloaded this app to keep up with the neighborhood, but all I get is 50 to 75 emails a day! The ads are annoying and constant, and I have un subscribed to the notification emails but still receive 50 to 70 a day! Apparently, you have to un subscribe to each individual posting.
5. Now, in addition to having to reset your feed preferences every 60 days (ridiculous), they have decided that no matter which neighborhoods you choose, they will show posts from approximately a 10 mile radius.
6. I just updated it then I uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail!! It doesn't always let me see the post when I click on the notification.
7. Also, I don't get notifications until sometimes days after original post.
8. It seems that the notifications I might have missed have been fixed after several contacts with Nextdoor support.
9. So this is not a neighborhood app anymore, but simply a way for them to generate income by showing an ad between every single post.Pretty good app.
10. Marking it as spam.Keeps sending annoying notifications even though I have almost all of them disabled now.
11. I don't want notifications for things "I might have missed." Every day I go back and remove more notifications.
My partner has deactivated his Nextdoor account but is still receiving emails. How can he stop this please?
Hi Helena, Thanks for contacting us about this issue. We temporarily disabled your Nextdoor account after we received a complaint regarding your content and found that you had violated our Community Guidelines on Be respectful to your neighbors and Discuss important topics in the right way. Here are examples of the content that was brought to our attention: Helena Hebert 04/28/2022 Craig lol. HOAs are made up of Karen's that can't mind their business... Helena Hebert 04/28/2022 John lol. Says the guy who never posts proof I'm wrong. Burden of proof is on you, bub. Helena Hebert 04/27/2022 John lol. Let's look at your guy Trump. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-shared-psychosis-of-donald-trump-and-his-loyalists/?amp=true They have commented on Trump’s alleged paranoid, sadistic, and psychopathic tendencies; diagnosed him with narcissistic personality disorder; and suggested he might suffer from neurological conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Naturally, many have questioned his fitness to serve as the President of the United States. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/finding-new-home/202101/diagnosing-trump-mental-illness?amp But you know Trump is sooo much better right? It's important to keep in mind that Nextdoor websites are designed to bring neighbors together in a meaningful and helpful way. Our intentions are to help neighbors build stronger, more close-knit communities. Always being respectful and civil is essential to the health of a Nextdoor neighborhood. Your account will remain disabled until at least 5/30/22. At that time, you can log into your account and access your Nextdoor neighborhood after checking a box stating that you agree to following the Guidelines. Please let me know if I can help with anything else. Best, Jeffrey Nextdoor Calling someone or the HOA a Karen who should mind their business is not disrespectful. Lots of people are called Karen's on Facebook. Telling someone who doesn't provide proof I'm wrong to provide proof isn't wrong either. Oh, and last and not least calling out Trump's mental health (or being anti Trump) isn't wrong considering that there's people that call out Biden's mental health and anti Biden on Nextdoor all the time. I've contacted the Institute for Free Speech. I didn't want to contact an attorney, but now you leave me no choice. Hopefully, we can settle this before we end up in court as those comments are mild considering the comments I've seen... Best regards, Helena
