1. I've very sad because I like reading the paper on this app when I'm able to log on.I would really like to rate this app much higher because when it works it really is the next best thing to reading your local newspaper on your phone/computer than having an actuall newspaper.

9. Problem is the app does not always work.These days it is so easy to issue snarky, low-score reviews of apps.

10. Clicking different menus/options, I either get taken to a blank screen or I go though a loop.

11. While you are reading it, it goes blank, I can't control anything on it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NewsMemory Issues

1. Fix NewsMemory Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart NewsMemory: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the NewsMemory App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NewsMemory" » Open NewsMemory » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NewsMemory » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear NewsMemory app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NewsMemory servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NewsMemory" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NewsMemory app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NewsMemory might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NewsMemory. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NewsMemory then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NewsMemory not working


2. Fix NewsMemory Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NewsMemory be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NewsMemory not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NewsMemory may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
