1. I have only purchased one book so far and I have to scroll through all the books available in order to find the one I bought every time I want to read it.
2. First, there is no place that lists your purchased books, so you have to manually find the book you want to read on the store.
3. A lot of the time you can't even access your books, you are just given the option of buying them again! When it works the layout is nice, the game viewer works, and even integrates quite nicely with Analyze This, even though it only pushes single positions rather than the whole game.
4. There's no search, either, so you have to scroll through all the books in the store until you find the book you've already bought.
5. I am relieved I bought a book on a sale, I'd have been very disappointed if I'd paid full price (and chess books are not cheap) due to the extremely poor user experience.
6. However, it seems the focus for the developer has been on the former rather than the latter: When opening the app you get a list of books to buy, no way to find which books you have already bought or how far you have come reading them.
7. If you can chose, you are probably better off buying NiC books on other platforms, such as Forward Chess, Chessable, Kindle or get a hard copy.I really enjoy the convenience of the game viewer.
8. One cannot even search for books and has to scroll to tens of books to find the purchased one.
9. The game viewer works but it's poorly made and one needs to scroll to find end of text every time its used.
10. This alone is really bad - the book I bought lays out each chapter in full in one continuous page you just scroll through - there are no page numbers, it's just 1 page per chapter, making finding where you left off a task in itself.
11. It needs to either have purchased books placed at the top, or have a search bar to find and sort them.
