Wehear Customer Insights

1. There should be a button on the reading page(where you see all the chapters); instead of waiting for the thing to pop up cause it usually doesn't.False Advertisement! As a new user, I was given access to a "free" book only it's not free and I still have to use my coins and bonus coins.

2. That's basically what it would amount to to get through one book with this app, given how that prices fluctuate between chapters.This app is great for authors who want to put their work out, however the the repetitive flowery descriptions are completely.

3. You can see the potential of these stories becoming great with better editing.The charge for different chapters is ridiculous.

4. Thus far, the pace at which the story is being read as well as the 10 second rewind button (in case of distractions) & the different character voices & the way they are portrayed has kept me listening.

5. That needs to be fix asap.I'm not one who usually likes to do the audio book thing, but the story that I started to read that lead me to this app was too interesting not to continue so I decided to give it a try.

6. The descriptions of the stories makes you listen to but it seems like some of the authors did not take the time to truly invest in the editing of their stories.

7. Some books need different audio.Interesting stories, some spice.

8. Also, feel like I should be reimbursed for paying for the coins, for simple fact that you lose anywhere from 40 seconds or less at the end of each chapter for whatever music is playing.

9. So far so good!UPDATE(2) I got a different phone and lost all the books I've already listened to and were in the process of listening to.

10. Just wished it wasn't so expensive to unlock chapters so I could finish a book.

11. And I think it would be cool if more audiobooks had a full cast, not just one narrator.Great stories.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Wehear Issues

1. Fix Wehear Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Wehear: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Wehear App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Wehear" » Open Wehear - Audiobooks & Stories » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Wehear » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Wehear - Audiobooks & Stories app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Wehear servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Wehear - Audiobooks & Stories" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Wehear app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Wehear might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Wehear. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Wehear then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Wehear not working


2. Fix Wehear Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Wehear be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Wehear not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Wehear may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • My daughter was logged out of her account, which she did not do. She had to sign back in which told her the account was invalid. She closes the app and tries signing in again and it told her that “not syncing “ once she got logged in all her History, saved books in Library, recent history and gems were gone. How can she recover the account? She has spent a lot of money for gems to unlock chapters and has an eye sight and hearing impairment. This was her only outlet! Please, can you help?

  • A text type box appeared when I went in to wehear to listen to one of my stories. It wants my birthday so that it can give me better selections. But it won't let me do that, and it goes right into the done page. It will not go away so that I can start hearing one of my stories. What can I do? Can you fix it, or get rid of it?

  • I was given a free book " prince regeant" just for clicking your youtube add and joining. But I was forced to use bonus points to just continue reading and then I had to buy coins and use them. Isn't the book free? I would like the coins I was forced to use and apply them to a new book if possible. Thanks for helping.

  • I like to listen to the books as I am reading and usually it's not so bad that I want to combine. However, I was reading one this past week, and oh my goodness! I wanted to rip my eyes out. Audio books are wonderful, but hopefully they never fully replace actual reading and writing. You see it's an art form. Three books that are horribly edited are _God of War:Pinnacle_, _MY Mysterious Husband_, _Alpha David's Abused Mate_. You find a good plot, and the spelling and grammatical errors are nauseating. Therefore, I would love to have a chance to edit some of these books before more minds are turned to mush. I'm not perfect, but I'm close! 😉
