1. Also the search doesn't work so you have to scroll through long lists of items before discovering that the app does nothing.

2. There is forgivable fiddling with moving the furniture in AR, this is fine but it's clear issues like furniture randomly shifting after placement and wrong items are not related AR sensors.AR works pretty well but the UX si broken.

7. When I open an collection on my Galaxy S8+ and start scrolling through the products it always jumps back to the top of the list as soon as I let go of my finger,making it pretty useless since I can't select any of the products which are not directly featured on the main page.

8. By the way, it's better to ask the user to aim at the wall rather than the floor, since the latter are more likely to be reflectant and repetitive (bad for ARCore).Great potential but needs a lot of work.

9. On my partners phone, selecting a Red Coloured BRÅTHULT will load the Corner unit, regardless if you select the corner unit version or not.

10. I have a MotorolaX4, I don't think it is my phone's fault :)Great idea, but doesn't work very well.

11. You select furniture to place and it doesn't place it at all.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix IKEA Place Issues

1. Fix IKEA Place Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart IKEA Place: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the IKEA Place App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "IKEA Place" » Open IKEA Place » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for IKEA Place » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear IKEA Place app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from IKEA Place servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "IKEA Place" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check IKEA Place app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, IKEA Place might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall IKEA Place. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall IKEA Place then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing IKEA Place not working


2. Fix IKEA Place Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make IKEA Place be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to IKEA Place not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, IKEA Place may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
