1. Cons: doesn't track watch progress, doesn't track watched episodes, can't add to watchlist in app, no settings in app, subtitle color change works 50% of the time, confusing UI, overlay controls are hard to press, start up splash screen shows for too long.Other apps have the ability to add shows to a watchlist, see your watch history, or save shows offline.

2. Although it doesn't have the key features some users deem mandatory or "basic," it shows me good anime, with absolutely 0 ads with my subscription, and works 100% of the time I've used it (doesn't even need to rebuffer when I switch apps).

3. Also the subtitle size is so small for some of the shows I can barely read them, however for some shows they are perfectly fine? Also not being able to select specific video qualities is weird.

4. The only good thing it does is save what shows you have started and added to your watch list/queue, that's about it.It fails a lot, I have to close and open it every time I use the app.

5. I recommend that you invest time and money into an app that you can be proud of.The app has a decent enough selection of shows, however what really drags it down is the poor user interface.

6. They also give you the option to change subtitle color and choose a default language.This is the worst streaming app I have ever used.

7. A lot of features are extremely unintuitive like how you don't have access to the feature that lets you seamlessly go to the next episode unless you're using the play button at the top of the show.

8. Best thing it's got going is having different account names for friends and being able to lock them with a pin so people can't mess up your list.

9. There is no way to forward or backward video a few seconds, no button for next episodes, and the list goes on.

10. It doesn't show what episodes you've watched, and the only play/pause button is in the corner.

11. HIDIVE doesn't even remember the episode you're on, it won't let you comment, customize your profile, or sync to discord.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HIDIVE Issues

1. Fix HIDIVE Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HIDIVE: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HIDIVE App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HIDIVE" » Open HIDIVE » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HIDIVE » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HIDIVE app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HIDIVE servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HIDIVE" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HIDIVE app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HIDIVE might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HIDIVE. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HIDIVE then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HIDIVE not working


2. Fix HIDIVE Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HIDIVE be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HIDIVE not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HIDIVE may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
