8. Edit: And now they block mock locations and don't have a feature for making your location less accurate.
9. They took a feature of my upgrade to XTra and put it on a higher tier.
10. It gets old having to restart the app when you are trying to reply to messages or having an ad pop up every 5 seconds.
11. Secondly, they are making more and more features locked behind a paywall.I didn't think it was possible, but the app got even worse.
Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Grindr Issues
1. Fix Grindr Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart Grindr: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the Grindr App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Grindr" » Open Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Grindr » click "UPDATE".
- Clear Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Grindr servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check Grindr app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Grindr might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall Grindr. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Grindr then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Grindr not working
2. Fix Grindr Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Grindr be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Grindr not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Grindr may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
