1. Love being able to set the DVR even when I'm not home.Used to love the app but now it's no longer showing at the top of the screen when its on, every time I want to play something new I have to open the app up, its annoying to have to open it when I want to pause play change the channel, etc, and it would be nice to be able to watch what I pay for outside of my home, I'm ready to get rid of cableThe last update took away the ability to extend a recording end time.

2. Ok for managing recording of shows on any channel even if away from home, but won't play any recorded shows on mobile device whatsoever, only through TV box to TV.

3. Can only stream shows to my phone while on the Wi-Fi network at home? I would think I should be able to stream shows anywhere.

4. I when I select a channel using the app a message appears stating an error has occurred press to retry.

5. The app will no longer stream a single channel, all I get is "an error occurred during playback" for every streamable channel on the list.

6. You can only see everything you've recorded or want to watch (but not actually watch it on your mobile device), and you can't watch if you're not at home.

8. I expected better of Google.We are unable to access TV j channels using the Fiber TV app.

9. I've noticed this mostly seems to occur on channels that are now part of Discovery+.Very useful but multiple crashes per day.

10. Maybe it's time to cut the cord.Fixed around early April after a week of not streaming any channels at all.

11. App basically allows me to see the guide, shows I have on my DVR and that are set to record, add or delete shows from my DVR.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Fiber TV Issues

1. Fix Fiber TV Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Fiber TV: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Fiber TV App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Fiber TV" » Open Fiber TV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Fiber TV » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Fiber TV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Fiber TV servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Fiber TV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Fiber TV app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Fiber TV might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Fiber TV. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Fiber TV then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Fiber TV not working


2. Fix Fiber TV Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Fiber TV be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Fiber TV not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Fiber TV may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
