1. Android version is 11 and MIUI version is 12.2.7Unreasonable permissions, why do the app needs access to my phone (for phone status and identity) location and contacts and cannot work without them? The UI/UX wasn't given a second thought either.It works perfectly & unlocks the gate on both the monitor & via app over a 60 metre distance.

2. Notification doesn't sound on the phone either.Works ok with my video intercom, I can open my gate, haven't tried to remotely speak to a visitor yet.

3. The app doesn't give full access to the device settings, but then again, neither does the browser IP way of accessing the settings.Had problems with the app, I couldn't open my gate, I tried everything.

4. 1* until its fixed.Well done thank you for fixing the unable to lunch the apps it's working again now I wish you can make the app HD settings to stay on as I have to keep pressing HD every time I exist it defaults back to SD quality and when someone press the door bell it's didn't lunch the app I will try it again tomorrow I done the settings correctly.

5. This app let's me sign in using email and password, then when trying to use the app to open my gate, it keeps showing user email or password is wrong when i know it isn't! Devs please sort this out.

6. New Version update actually made it work...so good at the moment, won't do full duplex though, pain trying to talk to someone at the gate.

7. After 3 days we got the app working, so I can again open my gate from my phone once again.

8. I have to first unlock the phone, then accept the notification and check who's at the door and eventually open the door.

9. Setup was easy, very quick response to request for code.No problem with this app until now, its now a huge problem as now I can't open my gate from this app.

10. Also, it is not possible to be logged in on multiple devices at the same time.Not so bad app, however, there is a bit of a delay from when a person rings the door bell till I actually receive the notification on my mobile.

11. Relied on this to monitor remote gate, waste of money, don't buy if they don't fix it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix uCareHome Issues

1. Fix uCareHome Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart uCareHome: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the uCareHome App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "uCareHome" » Open uCareHome » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for uCareHome » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear uCareHome app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from uCareHome servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "uCareHome" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check uCareHome app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, uCareHome might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall uCareHome. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall uCareHome then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing uCareHome not working


2. Fix uCareHome Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make uCareHome be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to uCareHome not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, uCareHome may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
