1. I still gave it 5 stars because if I wasn't drunk and high, I probably would have achieved success on one of my first few tries.Does not connect to the car 75 percent of the time and is very clunky.it's not always the fastest but it is reliable.Totally and completely useless app.

2. Do not confuse with CARD KEY! CARD KEY, size of credit card, is great to carry in wallet for emergencies.Reached out to support and after they either couldn't figure out the issue or just got tired after only 3 emails in total, total silence.

3. BlueLink is better, does everything Digital Key does AND more, it provides extraordinary services and customer service, though it has its faults.

5. Sometimes i had to get out of the deep garage to the surface, catch internet, restart the app to make sure it gets what it wants and come back.Doesn't work at all any more.

6. Downgraded to two stars due to the poor dependability.Just bought my GV70 Electrified 2 weeks ago, and I set up the digital key tonight.

7. I even tried enabling everything and still big heap of doo doo... I will never use this maybe that is what they want a seriously ticked off customer that will never buy this car again what a shame.

8. Tried on wifi running at 800 Mbs and mobile 5G network, both with full signal strength.

9. Deserves zero stars!! Uninstalled and tried again.

10. The app kept saying it failed, so I tried like 20 times deleting and starting over.

11. Still doesn't work to unlock the car.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Genesis Digital Key Issues

1. Fix Genesis Digital Key Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Genesis Digital Key: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Genesis Digital Key App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Genesis Digital Key" » Open Genesis Digital Key » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Genesis Digital Key » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Genesis Digital Key app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Genesis Digital Key servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Genesis Digital Key" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Genesis Digital Key app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Genesis Digital Key might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Genesis Digital Key. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Genesis Digital Key then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Genesis Digital Key not working
