1. The car has been driven 127 miles & the app still same issue app person.It would be nice to be able to change the notification sound so I notice immediately when the alarm is going off because the dogs set it off all the time since disabling motion detection doesn't work and continue to be traumatized each time I think I've fixed it.

2. At one time I thought it was cool, but with so many issues others have had as well as me, it is obvious Ford does not have good quality control on software.

Also, some status regarding if the car is locked, or just overall status of the car from the dashboard, would be great.I installed this app after purchasing a new vehicle to help keep up to date on maintenance, but as soon as I log in and agree to terms it just keep loading and spinning not doing anything.

4. And when I try to just log in online instead, it keeps not being able to find my vehicle's VIN even though I made sure it is correct.Good app, love all the features.

5. It will also tell you the location of the vehicle if it's stolen or lost for some reason.7/1/23-Now being told car failed to lock when I visually see that it locks.

6. So what you say, in winter setting a departure time is the only way to precondition your battery.

7. Also would be nice to have a mode where it locks automatically after some time or walk always.

8. I have been unable to set a departure time since early December.

9. Or to set a departure time, then the departure time either change or vanish.

10. I'm not seeing anything on battery life, yet my clock keeps resetting an hour off, and the screen for radio/maps intermittently goes black.

11. Ford needs to fix these problems.Best app for a vehicle ever.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix FordPass Issues

1. Fix FordPass Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart FordPass: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the FordPass App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "FordPass" » Open FordPass™ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for FordPass » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear FordPass™ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from FordPass servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "FordPass™" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check FordPass app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, FordPass might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall FordPass. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall FordPass then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing FordPass not working


2. Fix FordPass Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make FordPass be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to FordPass not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, FordPass may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Is anyone reading reviews on the new update? I've read dozens. The highest rating is 2 stars. The location search is useless. It shows where the vehicle was it's last parked location. Not where the vehicle is in real time. The old version worked! If Ford had a vehicle with this many complaints, there would be a recall. You had an app that wasn't broke. At least give us the option to go back to the previous version until the new version works.

i am unable to down load fordpass app. i think i am blocked out. I am unable to activate my navigation system on my 2023 f 150.

I would love to use this device but I can’t even download the app onto my iPhone, I think it’s having a problem with my password and when I try to login it just freezes.

Your app says my vehicle is good health but gives me alerts for power train and hi voltage. Dealership didn't see anything wrong and no dash lights are showing. What is going on? This is freaking me out I have a long work commute that's why I got a hybrid

Since the app received an update, the details of my car are not displayed anymore. additionallay i figured out that even i chose dur8ng set my country (Austria), my subscription is linked to UK!

I just bought a 2018 explorer limited, and cannot get the App and the software to work. App just says Activation pending (activation will be complete when and authorized user approves request). Software just states its gathering information and never connects. I have not been able to find a fix online or in any forums.

The app continues to freeze when it asks me to enter a pin. I have since deleted the app and rebooted my iphone12 five times. It does not work. What is going on?
