1. This app would be 5 stars if they fixed downloading maps.I've been playing with this app all day and have to say the reviews are right, it's probably hands down THE BEST gps, course plotting, mapping, sat, topo mapping app available.

2. I would record at the beginning of the day and would check periodically during the day and more often than not it would not be recording my route but giving me a straight line from my starting point to my current position.

3. This makes it really nice for researching single runs, but sometimes I'm clicking through many runs to quickly see gradient stats and the camera reposition can mess this up, particularly if I'm looking at runs off a ridge that go both north and south.

4. When doing the Flyover, I wish the app would keep the screen active, as right now it goes to sleep and if I touch it, the animation would stop playing.FATMAP is impractical and fundamentally flawed.

5. Wow!!! This one app would cost me more than ALL of my other subscriptions combined! Not sure I'll keep it after the trial expires for that reason.I just downloaded it to play around with options in the tri-state area, I use all trails usually and have plenty of options.

6. When hiking without signal on a multi-day trip: Day 1, I logged in offline and FATMAP displayed the route.

1. Fix FATMAP Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart FATMAP: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the FATMAP App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "FATMAP" » Open FATMAP: Ski, Hike, Bike » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for FATMAP » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear FATMAP: Ski, Hike, Bike app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from FATMAP servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "FATMAP: Ski, Hike, Bike" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check FATMAP app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, FATMAP might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall FATMAP. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall FATMAP then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing FATMAP not working

2. Fix FATMAP Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make FATMAP be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to FATMAP not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, FATMAP may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
