1. So much for the subscription I had just purchased prior to this update... Even before this update, ads frequently hid or obscured content above, below or otherwise near the ads, necessitating creative scrolling in an attempt to reveal the content.Horrible now, doesn't work.
2. Tried emailing them and they said they couldn't find my "Detroit News" account - even though my email asked about the issue with my Detroit Free Press account.
3. I don't mind ads in a newspaper, but this is too much!Almost 2 week since the last update that has bugs, which stops scrolling.
4. It would be nice if there was a feature to eliminate a section from where I land.The latest update released on March 2, 2022, Version 6.10, hangs on launch and eventually crashes.
5. When is the update going to be available?Shuts down while scrolling after last update.
6. Never get to read the whole paperGreat app, less sports plz... I really appreciate the local news and the in-depth articles.
7. So you pay for the subscription and get nearly full screen ads that pop in when you are scrolling through articles and stop.
8. Call center support person couldn't find my account despite apparently checking their systems for several minutes.
9. It's fine that there are some articles for subscribers only... but when they send out a news alert, but you can't view it unless you subscribe, that is too much.
10. GET THIS CORRECTED!Signed up for a subscription through the app, and my bank records and Google Play both indicate the transaction went through, but still didn't have subscriber access.
11. Behavior seen on multiple devices and with the same update for many of its companion apps for sister publications.
In view of the Detroit Free Press stopping all home deliveries we would like to cancel our Sunday paper.
My apologies for bothering you but I am requesting cancellation of the Free Press. My spouse signed up in error. Again please cancel my subscription. Thank you.
