1. It allows me to browse articles that I might not otherwise notice, and it's also a bonus to see all of the graphics, photos, and illustrations laid out rather than shoved into the middle of a webpage on a screen.Used to pick up a paper copy every day when I worked as a road and bridge construction inspector at different project locations all over the state, until Dec 2018 retirement.
2. While this mimics an actual print newspaper experience, it misses the benefits of an app experience.Oct 25 - having read the update below, I accessed the app settings and deleted storage, but not personal settings, and I was able to access today's e-edition.
3. Easy to navigate and read, you can access more than just the free content on the web site, and can even browse previous editions.
4. But now I can at least read the paper without constant swearing.Upgrading review to 4 stars after figuring out how to make the app work without crashing (like so many others have mentioned).
5. Without any help from the support team I finally figured out how to make this not crash by going into settings and at the bottom there is an option to "Return to Classic eEdition", I selected this and now it works.
6. My only negative remark would be that it's hard to fully appreciate the photography and illustrations on a normal mobile device.I have subscribed to the Free Press for over 40 years.
7. The way Detroit Free Press app works it opens up immediately with the current edition.
8. Free press! It's really great to get a digital version of the physical layout of the newspaper.
9. I love the app and especially being able to see the full pages to review and make selection of which articles to read.
10. To get to the settings you need to go to the page of editions and on the menu bar select settings.
11. You might have to clear the cache to get to editions pageWorked fine till update September 9, 2020.
