DailyRoads Voyager Customer Insights

1. Usually, both apps restore function, but too often the dash cam app will stay blacked out, stop recording, or hang.Thank you for the update, almost everything works again, except on Android 12 OneUI 4.1 Galaxy S10 camera initialization fails, after every 2 minutes video when it starts a new file, Dailyroads just pops up with this camera initialization error.

2. For a dash cam I need it to always be focused at infinity, but for this to work I need to make sure to focus to infinity manually before I start, which is a poor workaround as if I forget to do this it will be mis-focused for the entire trip!The app worked fantastic for the first day I used it.

3. When running in foreground with Android Auto in the background, an issue occurs where the phone will sound a soft ding dong alert, often followed by the phone display blacking out and a dropped USB connection to the car interrupting the Android Auto navigation.

4. It is a good looking, user friendly app.Love this app (once I got to know it) but with a few issues: Galaxy S9 video dims significantly by oncoming headlights at night, as if the light meter is pointed down and left.

5. I've had enough time with the app to say it really does work, one feature is saving to SD card, and there are many user adjustable settings, if it continues to perform as well as it has I will come back and recommend donating to turn off ads.

6. Unfortunately, the GPS speed data does not work properly when connected to Android Auto.

7. Only difference that seems to make it work is that I am starting/stopping using the on-screen button rather than from the live video feed.

8. To work correctly, I have to open the app manually, this opens in the correct landscape mode, and manually press record.

9. Then it works, but one need to hit okay every 2 minutes when the app pops up front of all the other apps, on the whole screen! It is pretty annoying.

10. I dunno what happened over night, but the next day when I would open the app, it would open to the video library and there was absolutely no way to go to the camera.

11. Not sure why this happened, but the app failed when I needed it the most.I previously gave this app 3 stars and the person responding to my comments a sarcastic time and it was uncalled for.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix DailyRoads Voyager Issues

1. Fix DailyRoads Voyager Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart DailyRoads Voyager: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the DailyRoads Voyager App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "DailyRoads Voyager" » Open DailyRoads Voyager » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for DailyRoads Voyager » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear DailyRoads Voyager app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from DailyRoads Voyager servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "DailyRoads Voyager" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check DailyRoads Voyager app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, DailyRoads Voyager might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall DailyRoads Voyager. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall DailyRoads Voyager then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing DailyRoads Voyager not working


2. Fix DailyRoads Voyager Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make DailyRoads Voyager be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to DailyRoads Voyager not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, DailyRoads Voyager may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
