Why should I report an Issue with WHIO?

1. I tried selecting areas of interest where I want to receive news about in the Dayton OH area but for some reason Richmond IN and other areas are selected as default and you cannot remove them! Way too many click-bait, pointless, and irrelevant pop-up notifications that overshadow important news.

2. Horrible app.Haven't been able to get app to load for a couple days.. also, as someone else mentioned, the issue of when you are scrolling, suddenly it takes you back to top of page.. almost ready to uninstall.. I already uninstalled their weather app, after it changed their illustations on the radar section.. I like to be able to see, rain/snow/bad weather, but with the new illustration, you can't..I now use Weatherbug..App won't run 80% of the time.

3. Literally, all the notifications I've gotten for a month- sports, sports & more sports 10+ a day?! Get a life, WHIO!! Most of what they cover isn't even actual news & it's super annoying.

4. When you click on a news article a picture displays along with a title and then on the bottom towards the bottom there's a whole bunch of white space that takes 30 40 seconds to load several ads.

5. Frustrating!Zero *! Nonstop sports updates?! Guess what? I don't care about sports! But you can't tell WHIO that! The "customize notifications" is a JOKE.

6. Also no national or world news! This is a rural area where people like us cannot get satellite TV.

7. I turned off notifications to certain news categories but I still get notified about them.

8. There is nothing around us that does this.I'm a WHIO fan and like watching the morning crew while getting ready for work.

9. Articles don't always load, which was annoying, but now, after the most recent update, ads redirect me out of the app even though I didn't touch them and I'm about to uninstall because of it.

10. It would be nice if we, near Bellefontaine in your viewing area, could depend on this 'local' area station to keep us informed.

11. When it does its just reruns of the same 20 minute clip of yesterday's news.

1. Fix WHIO Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart WHIO: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the WHIO App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "WHIO" » Open WHIO » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for WHIO » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear WHIO app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from WHIO servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "WHIO" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check WHIO app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, WHIO might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall WHIO. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall WHIO then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing WHIO not working

2. Fix WHIO Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make WHIO be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to WHIO not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, WHIO may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
