1. Freezes when try to save photos.Difficult to operate as there does not appear to be any type of scan code to activate the app.Have the book, but over half of the pages won't scan.Dosen't work and no proper instructions how to use and what's wrong, why AR is not showing up, I only see image from camaraApp doesn't work.

2. So sad.every time I try to save a picture it just freezes for good, have to restart .. 2 stars only for now, will be happy to revote when the issue is fixedGreat pics but none available for the really cool fish, and the app offers to do snapshots but never works.

3. But it fails miserably 90% of the time, because the app doesn't let my camera refocus, so the image is always blurry, and the app normally doesn't recognize the page I am pointing it at.

4. Had a super hard time getting interactives to scan until I read further into the instructions and saw that you have to have the entire page in view.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix iOceanAR Issues

1. Fix iOceanAR Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart iOceanAR: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the iOceanAR App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "iOceanAR" » Open iOceanAR » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for iOceanAR » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear iOceanAR app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from iOceanAR servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "iOceanAR" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check iOceanAR app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, iOceanAR might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall iOceanAR. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall iOceanAR then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing iOceanAR not working


2. Fix iOceanAR Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make iOceanAR be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to iOceanAR not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, iOceanAR may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
