ArtFlow Customer Insights

1. Reopen ArtFlow click on "gallery" and !vuola! your work should return from the dead!It was good when I first downloaded it, however as I kept drawing the thickness of my pen kept changing, there is even a airbrush dot when I start a new line, I tried different things to make it stop but so far I have not figured it out.

2. It was amazing at first I had layers and was able to import photos.Great app and from someone who has reviewed almost every Android drawing app it has the best UI and responsiveness, the only thing that has kept me from making this my go to drawing app is lack of gestures which is essential in my work flow.

3. The issue I'm having with it is that I can't make very slow movements (ex: drawing a line carefully) without the input kicking in until it travels a certain number of pixels.

4. That being said I did purchase and hope one day we can get double tap undo and three finger brush size gesture.EDIT: Seems to be a phone touch screen limitation, so I'm updating the rating.

5. So if you run into this heart stopping issue simply go to "Settings" on your phone click "apps", click on "ArtFlow" scroll down and click "permissions" and "allow" access to storage.

6. Freaked out when my whole gallery disappeared and thought all my work was lost! Turns out after updating, ArtFlow permissions get turned off.

7. Switching between layers is eventually time consuming when you need to switch during every adjustment to line things up.

8. First one is if I use the resize tool and zoom out, there's a small chance of my drawing getting squished, it's annoying, but it does fix itself after a bit.

9. It usually starts with your recent work, but if you forgot to save, it's gone.You HAVE to use the .xml files in the app's data folder in order to properly modify brush presets.

10. The limit for layers and undos is frustrating, and I disagree with putting a cap on that for free users, but a quick ad to open access to it is alright I guess.

11. Only thing I would add is a way to make some things quicker to achieve, such as an auto select for layers.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ArtFlow Issues

1. Fix ArtFlow Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ArtFlow: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ArtFlow App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ArtFlow" » Open ArtFlow: Paint Draw Sketchbook » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ArtFlow » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ArtFlow: Paint Draw Sketchbook app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ArtFlow servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ArtFlow: Paint Draw Sketchbook" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ArtFlow app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ArtFlow might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ArtFlow. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ArtFlow then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ArtFlow not working


2. Fix ArtFlow Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ArtFlow be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ArtFlow not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ArtFlow may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hi. My app was closing all the time, só I decided to reinstall the app, but now all my drawings from before disappeared! I tried to use the restore backup, but it's only showing drawings from last year or more.. not the recent ones.. can you help me?

  • Dear developer. I lost my last progress with my drawing. When I tried to create new image, for some reason the current canvas I was working on got renewed into a new canvas. It deleted all my previous progress, when it shouldn't be that way. I tested it with a new canvas and did the exact same thing, it still retained the current canvas and created a new one. How could I reverse this damage done? I believe it bugged because the file is still there, the date and time modified is still there. I'd love for you to help me, and I can provide more information regarding the situation. Thank you.
