Lots of things that could make it even better: Spelling suggestion in the ideas area, improve the extraction (difficult to take one handed photos, come on!), better extraction tools, like orientation by degree and auto removing line breaks, be able to extract text for quotes, makes no sense how you are doing it, allow to choose if you want to write an idea, a task or use it as a quote, allow me to submit book covers, highlighter on photosGreat app! I used to write manually, so text recognition and speech to text is just amazing.

2. The ad I saw for this app made it seem like it would be able to detect and extract highlights I had added to the pages of a book, but it simply recognizes entire text of the page in the photos I take, and I have to select the highlight manually and delete the rest.

3. I would gladly pay a reasonable price for that 😉This is so good! The other app I installed extracts text from words keeps highlights and quotes, and tracks reading time too.

4. However, this one allows you to record your thoughts about the book highlights! However, I would rate this 5 star if there is a premium feature like exporting to pdf and saving backup so that I don't lose the precious gems I've unearthed from reading books.

5. Also, I love that I can record my thoughts and ideas❤ it would be so convenient to have speech to text function in those sections as well😊 Finally, if I could easily add quotes from other media - this app would be greatly useful for my creative endeavors and research.

6. The problem is, unless one has the book on Kindle whete one has already taken notes, the photo scan one takes of a page is not accurate and requires a lot of one-fingered typing to correct and save the page.

1. Fix Summary Z Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Summary Z: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Summary Z App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Summary Z" » Open Summary Z: Book Summaries » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Summary Z » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Summary Z: Book Summaries app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Summary Z servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Summary Z: Book Summaries" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Summary Z app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Summary Z might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Summary Z. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Summary Z then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Summary Z not working

2. Fix Summary Z Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Summary Z be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Summary Z not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Summary Z may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
