1. Basecamp works because it’s the easiest place for everyone in every role to put the stuff, work on the stuff, discuss the stuff, decide on the stuff, and deliver the stuff that makes up every project.
2. Perfected and pressure-tested by hundreds of thousands of teams on millions of projects, Basecamp’s the gold standard for a simpler, superior version of project management.
3. For nearly two decades, we’ve continually refined a unique set of tools and methods to fundamentally reduce complexity, and make project management more of a joy and less of a chore.
4. It’s why teams that sometimes leave in search of “more power” end up slamming into the consequences of over-powered software: Complexity.
5. Unfortunately, lots of software makes it worse by over-complicating things. Basecamp’s different. It’s dialed in.
6. Not on separate platforms scattered in various places, but all intuitively organized in one centralized place where everyone can work together.
7. The refreshingly simple, and remarkably effective, project management platform.
8. It’s why those that leave end up coming back and sticking with us the second time around.
9. Complexity doesn’t work. Basecamp does.
10. Basecamp’s intentionally simple by design.
11. Managing people and projects under pressure is tough enough.
1. Not very user friendly, very frustrating and at the end of a work day having to abandon the app and write every thing downThere are several features that don't work from a phone: When editing a comment post, in the messages section of a group, the attachment (paper clip) icon and other formatting options are not available.
2. Give me a toggle so I can go back to using the app like it was before. It has its perks sure but it's not like I can use it because it is Always offline!! I can't respond to any of my important messages (and it has nothing to do with my internet connection) and have to get on the desktop app to do Anything, which defeats the purpose of having a mobile app.
3. Since the most recent couple of updates, it now doesn't load 100% of the time.I rate it 4 stars only because I have constant problems loading images to each project.
4. The Add To Calendar option only appears half the time anyway. The new UI update is not good for users like myself with lots of projects.
5. There are a few other difficulties but I can't remember them at the moment.Plenty of glitches where the app is inaccessible for days at a time.
6. Unfortunately, if you choose the wrong email the first time, you can't seem to change it.
7. Even on the desktop version they took away the option to make list view the default.
8. The other 5% of the time it functioned after restarting the app multiple times.
9. Not a very logical way to organize bookmarks, and the search function is not efficient, nor does it seem to follow the established protocol for search terms.
10. The compact list view is gone, as is the option to view archived projects.
11. I had always been averse to trying Basecamp because of the cost, even though a lot of people really seemed to enjoy it it always seemed more for established businesses.
