TypeMatch Customer Insights

1. Sometimes the pictures don't load and I can't like anyone without getting stuck on the animation where the heart grows and shrinks..I don't even know if my likes go through, because I have to restart the app to be able to do anything again.Great concept but: It updates our type only after taking the test, and despite answering as objectively as possible, it's gotten my type wrong.

2. Impossible to justify paying for a slow and buggy service.Looks nice and seems like it would work well, but it's not long before issues are clear - people it shows are all around the world despite selecting a location, they're shown in alphabetical order by name (I'm not even through all the A's yet), and once you match with someone they don't appear separately in the app - you have to find them in the list of people you've already liked, which is also weird.

3. Ive never had a dating app but the concept behind this made me get this one! Downloaded the recent update which made things heapsss easier to click, but editing your profile I would have to spam tap the screen for it to select something, and typing is super hard because the backspacing only works if you highlight what you want to backspace.

4. There are tons of bugs which makes the app unusable sometimes I really like being able to filter on distance but by default it should be set to 20 miles and not get world matchesUpdate: I sent emails to Support a month ago detailing what was happening.

5. It first detected wrong type for me but fortunately i was able to select my type manually.

6. Personal issue unrelated to bugs was I didn't like that there weren't more or at least a choice of different questions to give answers to that show up on your page.Still not ready for proper use.

7. Exited the app and it became next to impossible to use, none of the buttons work, wait 30 seconds, half the time you'll get lucky and they might finally start working.

8. (1) If someone doesn't enter their height, do not show that field as 0'0", just drop that field in the profile when it appears on someone else's screen.

9. And once i enter my bio, interests etc, i can't edit it without fully typing the whole thing again.The app is promising but very buggy.

10. The app is very stuttery; pictures don't load for a long time (or don't, at all), animations are set at a very low FPS (i have a Galaxy Note 9, so my hardware isn't the problem).

11. Keep up the good work tho! This will boom in no time :)Seems like a good concept.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TypeMatch Issues

1. Fix TypeMatch Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TypeMatch: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TypeMatch App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TypeMatch" » Open TypeMatch - Personality Type D » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TypeMatch » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TypeMatch - Personality Type D app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TypeMatch servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TypeMatch - Personality Type D" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TypeMatch app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TypeMatch might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TypeMatch. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TypeMatch then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TypeMatch not working


2. Fix TypeMatch Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TypeMatch be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TypeMatch not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TypeMatch may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
