1. Future feature suggestions: - Ability to export/import so I can move my groots DB to another device (may be possible by moving the data files?) - Ability to group plants into a "device" example: I have 7 plants in the same aerogarden that have the same light, same nutes, same PPM.

2. Not being able to export the images taken with the app is huge waste of time on all the previous images taken, syncing to other devices is not a solution it's a work around.

9. The inability to edit or delete sensor data entries (to add later, correct mistakes,etc.) Is a major issue.

10. At first it should have more fertilizers brands, such as top crop, or at least allow us create a custom with defined parameters, not only water volume.

11. I forgot to change the time cycle and now it placed it in harvest with no way of getting it back into flower section.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Groots Issues

1. Fix Groots Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Groots: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Groots App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Groots" » Open Groots » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Groots » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Groots app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Groots servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Groots" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Groots app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Groots might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Groots. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Groots then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Groots not working


2. Fix Groots Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Groots be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Groots not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Groots may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
