1. As an example, some habits' names and history can be edited and others' can't, with no clear indication as to which is which or why this limitation exists.The design and functionality of the app is very good to get started on tracking habits at first glance.

2. It's the primary reason I gave it 3 stars.Basic with decent tracking ability once you figure out how, needs instruction page! Also fewer options for customizing than I would like, I just bring up blank tasks to fill in because I know my goals and don't need the ones they want me to set.

3. If you're going to allow for habits that only happen 5 days a week (for example), then the streak feature needs to be set up so that the 2 days you don't plan to do it don't count as breaking the streak.

4. I wouldn't mind paying for the app, but I don't agree that this app is worth as much as, for example, a $30/yr Google One subscription with 200GB of cloud storage.The app is generally well-designed and has a pleasing visual style (much more so than other habit trackers I've tried).

I was going to just continue to use my Google calendar as my task list but I failed to receive a reminder for the upcoming charge so I'm staying with it for now 🤷 ♀️Just installed this but you can only add 3 tasks before you have to pay, and you will get a ton of notices to try to get you to pay before you even hit that.

6. However, full functionality is kept behind an unreasonable paywall...the premium version costs $29.99 per year.

7. The interface is nice, clean, and easy to use and is exactly what I'm looking for, but it's $7/mo or $30/yr to use this to-do list.

8. I had this app on my iPhone and I paid a very small one-time fee to have premium version.

9. Also, the reminders, stats, and unlimited habits should be free, not a subscription.

10. I wanted to try out the features before I get "premium" to see if it's a good fit, but the focus seems to be in ensuring the payment is captured before letting someone actually try it out.

11. The only thing the paid version let's you do is create unlimited routines and check them off as complete or skip.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Productive Issues

1. Fix Productive Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Productive: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Productive App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Productive" » Open Productive - Habit tracker » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Productive » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Productive - Habit tracker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Productive servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Productive - Habit tracker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Productive app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Productive might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Productive. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Productive then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Productive not working


2. Fix Productive Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Productive be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Productive not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Productive may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
