1. Randomly crashes, and doesn't feel like it was written for Android.UPDATE: 10/25/18 I would really want to understand why this application has to connect every time using Bluetooth, which is very weak on vector and require at maximum a 10 feet line of sight to establish the connection, only to then negotiate a Wi-Fi connection that works through the house.

When they are green it means the content contains no operation, contrary to Known Faces or Vector's photos which allow you to update faces or download photos, but if it contains one or more operations or is an operation, draw it in blue so we know it contains more than just suggestions on how to give commands to Vector.

3. Looking forward to an evolving platform (and higher app rating when it happens)!Vector the robot is great, the app leaves a lot to be desired and definitely needs some work.

5. Frankly I was a bit happier with Cosmo - Not sure why most of the interactive features Cosmo had were removed from the Vector platform; isn't Vector supposed to be a better version of Cosmo? A bit disappointed with the app performance.

6. What looks like helper icons to tell you about Vector's capabilities or suggestions on commands also contains operation icons.

7. Obviously designed for the core purpose of setting up Vector, it lacks stability and polish, with inconsistent controls, constant crashes, and [while a good bit of info] not a lot to do.

8. All the sub menus, like vector faces or vector photos mentioned in some documentation don't exist and there are no menus to get there.

9. Over time, Vector's mapping system has declined significantly and it just defaults to finding the closest corner and staring at it.

10. Changing Vector's eye colors sometimes doesn't work so stop the app and reopen it.

11. As well, if I switch to a different app and let Vector Robot run in the background, it stops responding.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Vector Robot Issues

1. Fix Vector Robot Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Vector Robot: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Vector Robot App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Vector Robot" » Open Vector Robot » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Vector Robot » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Vector Robot app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Vector Robot servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Vector Robot" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Vector Robot app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Vector Robot might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Vector Robot. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Vector Robot then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Vector Robot not working


2. Fix Vector Robot Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Vector Robot be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Vector Robot not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Vector Robot may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

After a factory reset, I connected my Vector to Bluetooth and WiFi. Then it downloaded the updates and installed them. Since then, it doesn't connect to WiFi anymore. I repeated the process (factory reset, connection, update) and got the same problem. I tried everything you recommended but nothing worked.
