1. Really really annoying.i've loved aldiko since i started using it and hasn't switched to anything else but updating to a new version, removing the old version from our phones WITHOUT our consent/permission, thereby removing the library of books we already have in the previous one, is NOT COOL.

2. So, Aldiko is OK, but Moon+ is a hundred times better, more customizable and doesn't choke on importing books.I used to love this, but it is a shake that it is no longer updated to support newer versions of Android.

4. Five stars, highly reccomend.Had potential of being my go to reader... That was before I discovered that if reading an imported pdf, and tapping the sides of the screen for page up/down, the page turned to will not jump back to the top when reading in landscape.

5. I paid for the premium version too and it no longer supports fullscreen view with newer phones running Android 11, although still works well on my old Nexus tablet.

7. I'd give the classic 5 starts, except it's not the se full app that was replaced with the "pure" versions update.Doesn't identify text on a pdf, so can't do search or add notes or highlights.

1. Fix Aldiko Classic Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Aldiko Classic: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Aldiko Classic App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Aldiko Classic" » Open Aldiko Classic » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Aldiko Classic » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Aldiko Classic app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Aldiko Classic servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Aldiko Classic" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Aldiko Classic app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Aldiko Classic might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Aldiko Classic. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Aldiko Classic then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Aldiko Classic not working

2. Fix Aldiko Classic Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Aldiko Classic be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Aldiko Classic not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Aldiko Classic may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
