1. While camera is in use, your phone goes into silent mode automatically.
1. I recommend it for unrooted roms that doesn't support the camera shutter mute in apps.Muted the shutter sound when activated as advertised.
2. Perhaps it mutes incoming calls and other media to avoid disturbance when taking pictures.Good so far, I made the notification on lowest priority (on android 8, so that there is no status bar occupied), but still running in the background.Downloaded to mute instagram shutter.
3. When i open the insta camera it pops on the screen "mute" which is cool, but it still makes a loud shutter noise.I use an LG G7 ThinQ and it has this "intrusive" shutter sound which can't be disabled.
4. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S20+, and is running Android Version 11.It doesn't mute the camera sound.
5. Also, mutes whole phone even when using video calling apps, which is just ridiculous.Does the job of turning all sound off when camera is open.
6. There are camera mute apps that use services but my phone doesn't support services.
7. Unfortunately, powering off the phone disables the camera muting, so for the app to work requires the user to remember to manually activate it before taking pictures each time after the phone is powered on.
