1. I use old cellphones over wifi I love it.When you record a video after only a few minutes of watching the video back it freezes so if you recorded a 10 minute long video after a minute or two watching the video the video freezes and all you hear is sound other than that the app I feel is really good and would get five stars if that could be fixed! Please look into this, this is a huge problem with the app! I've missed a lot of important recordings because of it! Thank You*Contains ads with sound and no volume adjustment.

2. Every time it would glitch I'd ALWAYS be told by support the same thing... Uninstall and reinstall and every time I did it never restored my subscription so I had to cancel it and resubscribe, this is the worst purchase I ever made I only got it at first cz it had a clearer picture than others.Great to keep your eyes on your home when you're away from home.

3. We use it to watch our front yard in our car the only thing we've had problems with is that it's an old phone we use to monitor and it struggles to connect to the Wi-Fi in our home other than that the app is effing amazing!!!Not happy.

4. Downloaded app to two phones, as required during set up, got as far as the QR code on the 'camera' phone, and the in-app scanner on the 'viewer' phone, but there is no button to initiate the scan.

5. I use Camy daily as part of both my home, and business, security systems and recommend giving it a try.The pairing system could use some clarification, and it would be great if we could use just one phone and a TV with no second phone.

6. I can clearly see the QR code through the scanner on the screen of the 'viewer' phone, but nothing happens, and there the setup process stalls.

7. Night vision is better than any other camera that I've seen on the Play store with the ability to swap The view on the camera and the zoom is amazeballs.

8. It's a great idea, and the devs clearly care about feedback so I have edited this rating to reflect that As an explanation, I used the TV app with a webcam, tried the QR pairing, and just got a "Wrong!" Message.

9. You can screen capture, record video with audio, night vision and or the flash on.

10. Most (though very random and occasional) issues that I have encountered with connection, have been due to service network area connectivity of (the viewer device) my cellphone.

11. Depending on your phone quality you can hear in other rooms.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Camy Issues

1. Fix Camy Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Camy: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Camy App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Camy" » Open Camy — Live Video CCTV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Camy » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Camy — Live Video CCTV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Camy servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Camy — Live Video CCTV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Camy app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Camy might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Camy. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Camy then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Camy not working


2. Fix Camy Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Camy be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Camy not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Camy may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
