1. While the mapping feature found some nice bike friendly shortcuts I wasn't aware of, it is EXTREMELY difficult to view roads and trails as these lines are white on a mostly white background.

2. I still appreciate having this app as my bike interface, rather than the simple LCD display on my bike.The latest version of this app no longer uploads power or heart rate data to Strava, at least with my phone and bike.

3. There is a button on the bike to turn the light on but the app doesn't always interact with that button.On 2 or 3 occasions the app has shut down the bicycle while riding.

4. For instance, to plan a route, I must do it in Komoot, then link and upload to cobi.bike. But even then, if I'm in the fitness screen, navigation goes on pause.

5. Summary, well worth the money for the hub but could be improved.When riding the bike you cannot easily turn the light on or off.

6. For a while now when I exit it interrupts itself with the word 'off.' This is what I get every time regardless of what I do: "You've burned *off.*" It's very frustrating, and to the best of my knowledge there's no way to retrieve that information.I already didnt like the app, but I couldnt use it until a mandatory firmware update.

7. If I have music playing and I change anything, this includes changing assistance power level or the view (music, contacts, fitness etc) it stops the music.

8. A real nuisance..I find the interface confusing at times and don't like it when an app tries to protect me by disabling certain features unless I come to a complete stop.

9. It apparently records cumulative mileage but I can't locate it intentionally and the Trek dealer couldn't either.Wonderful concept and functions really well but hasn't realised its potential.

10. you have to get off the bike completely in order to turn the light on.

11. The navigation has been frustrating at times, putting me in Germany rather than where I am (in the US), although this hasn't happened in several months.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix COBI.Bike Issues

1. Fix COBI.Bike Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart COBI.Bike: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the COBI.Bike App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "COBI.Bike" » Open COBI.Bike » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for COBI.Bike » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear COBI.Bike app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from COBI.Bike servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "COBI.Bike" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check COBI.Bike app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, COBI.Bike might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall COBI.Bike. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall COBI.Bike then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing COBI.Bike not working


2. Fix COBI.Bike Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make COBI.Bike be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to COBI.Bike not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, COBI.Bike may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

«Error: This Hub is special. Please contact our Support. Serial No. 0781900041201». Is cannot find any solution to this on your help pages. Is there any? (My phone is a iPhone SE with IOs 15.6. Bike: Electra Path Go.)
